What the IVECO Secure Gateway activation does
IVECO, like most modern manufacturers, places a security gateway between the diagnostic socket and the vehicle network. Without authenticated access, a diagnostic tool may still see the vehicle but is blocked from the coding, adaptations, resets and service functions the job actually needs. This activation grants your Autocom ICON genuine, authorised access through the IVECO secure gateway, so you can carry out full diagnostic and programming work rather than being limited to basic reading.
It is added to the ICON hardware you already own. Once the activation is applied to your tool, secured IVECO functions become available within your Autocom software, giving you the same authenticated pathway a franchised workshop relies on.

This is an annual licence tied to the calendar year. Every licence runs from 1 January to 31 December, whichever date you activate on. Year one is priced at £250 and includes the one off setup, which covers getting your tool authorised and provisioned for IVECO access. From year two onwards the renewal drops to £170 per year, because the setup element no longer applies. Keeping the licence live year on year is what maintains uninterrupted secured access to IVECO vehicles.
