What the Fiat Bypass Actually Does

When a vehicle loses its only key, the immobiliser is the wall standing between you and a running engine. The engine ECU will not authorise fuelling and ignition until it receives a valid handshake from the transponder in a coded key. The CarLabImmo Fiat Bypass sits on that conversation. Turn the ignition on and the LED settles into a slow blink, confirming the bypass is talking to the vehicle. From there you start the car as normal. If the LED stays on the fast blink after ignition on, pull the key, wait 30 seconds and try the ignition again. On some vehicles the handshake needs a second or third attempt before it takes, and that short pause lets the immobiliser reset its authentication window so the device can re present cleanly.
