Julie VAG IMMO OFF Emulator
Diagnose. Emulate. Authorise.
One emulator that clears VAG immobiliser faults from K-Line classics to the MQB platform
The Julie VAG IMMO OFF Emulator is a professional immobiliser emulator that replaces the immo signal across VAG Group ECUs and TCUs. Built for locksmiths and ECU repair specialists, it restores drive authorisation on Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen units running IMMO Gen 4, Gen 5 and MQB platforms over CAN and K-Line.

What the Julie VAG emulator does
The Julie VAG Group Emulator is a hardware immobiliser emulator that stands in for the original immo signal a VAG engine or transmission controller expects to see before it will authorise a start. When a cluster, immo box or key system has failed, or when a controller is being repaired or transferred between vehicles, the emulator supplies the recognised handshake so the unit runs cleanly. It communicates over both CAN and K-Line and carries a 24C02 EEPROM on board, which is what lets it hold the authorisation data for the controller it is paired with.
Coverage across IMMO Gen 4, Gen 5 and the MQB platform
On fifth generation immo and MQB platform vehicles the emulator covers the Bosch EDC17, ME17 and MED17 families alongside the Continental Simos 18.1. Where the car uses an automatic gearbox it authorises the engine control unit and the transmission control unit at the same time, which matters on MQB because the DQ200, DQ250, DL382, DL501, VL300 and VL381 units hold their own immo status and will not proceed without it. Fourth generation coverage adds the Bosch ME17.1.6, MED17.5.5 and MED9.5.10, the Continental Simos PCR2.1 and the Siemens VDO PPD1.1 through to PPD1.5 controllers.
Legacy VAG coverage that keeps older jobs moving
The same emulator reaches a long way back into the VAG parc, which is where a lot of workshops lose time. It handles the early Bosch EDC1.3.1 and 1.3.3, MA1.3, M5.4, M3.8.4, MED9.1.2 and MP9.0, the Hitachi MMS-314 and MMS-341, the full Magneti Marelli IAW range, several Siemens 5WP4 controllers and the Temic Digifant 1.74. It also covers VAG 1.9 and 2.5 diesels running on K-Line, and vehicles with no ECU that rely on a fuel shut-off valve. Electronic steering lock support is included for the VW Crafter and the Sprinter II W906 up to 2010.
Why Mobile Eco Tuning stock it
Immobiliser emulation is everyday work in our own UK workshop and across our network of more than 800 agents, so the emulators we list are the ones we would reach for ourselves. The Julie VAG unit earns its place because it consolidates a very wide span of VAG controllers onto one board rather than forcing you to keep a drawer of single application emulators. These are professional tools intended for qualified locksmiths and ECU repair specialists working on vehicles they are authorised to service.
CAN and K-Line transmission
Talks to both modern CAN bus controllers and older K-Line units, so one board spans decades of VAG architecture.
24C02 EEPROM onboard
An integrated 24C02 EEPROM stores the authorisation data for the controller the emulator is matched to.
Gen 5 ECU and TCU authorisation
On MQB automatics it authorises the engine controller and the gearbox controller simultaneously, covering DQ, DL and VL units.
Eight VAG Group marques
Covers Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen from a single emulator.
Deep legacy support
Reaches back to early Bosch, Magneti Marelli, Siemens, Hitachi and Temic controllers, plus K-Line diesels and fuel shut-off valve setups.
Electronic steering lock cover
Supports the ESL on the VW Crafter and Sprinter II W906 up to 2010, a common failure point on those vans.

💡 Mobile Eco Tuning Pro Tip:
Before you commit an emulator to a suspected immo fault, confirm the immobiliser really is the failure point and not a communication dropout or a corrupt cluster, because an emulator will mask the symptom without fixing the wrong problem. On Continental Simos PCR2.1 units the emulator needs the CS, MAC, POWER CLASS and VIN read from the ECU first, so pull those values before you start rather than partway through. Once fitted, clear the stored immo and adaptation faults, verify a clean start and finish with a short road test, so any lingering unrelated fault is never blamed on the emulator.
